What a great book! It’s so hard to share good stories and to teach the First World War to be found. I had it in paperback in the United Kingdom, where the images have been suggestive Foreman reduced and reproduced in black to white. This should be added in each school. Foreman story is based on a true fact. My students have the connection to football, and felt empathy for the four young people, the bitter realities of war and the joy of a very special day in the face. Rating: 5 / 5

This is an excellent book that raises emotions. The pictures are beautiful watercolors. While it is important to learn the facts of the First World War, this book will feel that it is not forgotten, what is more important to create memorize facts. I borrow most of our books, but this is a book I would recommend the purchase. Rating: 5 / 5

War game was in the 6th Class students of World War I read the author’s plot and excellent illustrations perfectly dramatic way the First World War through the eyes of a young man. Mr. Foreman captured our attention for students at the beginning of the story, with the excitement and adventure of war. Closure of history with the reality of war, was the class was silent, as students took final end of the war – the deaths of people who had come to “know”. A very powerful life lesson for us all. This is a rare book for people who teach history and learn to love. Michael Foreman has taken an unusual event (ie Christmas) Armistice of World War I and created a timeless story. His book is full of beautiful illustrations, and contains many facts about the First World War. Foreman has also woven primary documents from the period of time through the entire book, most of which are in the form of propaganda posters. Overall, this book comes highly recommended and will be a shame if it printed again soon! Rating: 5 / 5

Michael Foreman writes beautifully as he draws. This is an impressive story of a Christmas truce in the 1st Are World War when the British and German soldiers as friends, sing and play football together, learn to see each other as friends and fellow human beings. When the armistice ending each page intentionally fire over the heads of others in a position to the men who kill now consider friends. The German High Command was aware of the game. . . War Game is a classic tale of war and should be printed. Rating: 5 / 5
